On image: Sibulele Mangaliso, also known as Sibs The Realtor from NRG.

Born and bred in Port Elizabeth also known as Gqeberha, and currently residing in Gqeberha. Sibulele Mangaliso is an ambitious young man full of life and passion to sell Central’s properties, lifestyle and it’s art to every next person. This young fellow grew up in Motherwell and was privileged enough to have attended his lower grades at Settlers Park primary school where he was introduced to sport, such as rugby and cricket as they opened up doors for him, and he strongly believes with those sports structures it is where he learned discipline, consistency and hardwork. In 2018, Sibu obtained his Bachelor in Human Settlements Development at Nelson Mandela University, currently he believes he is on the school of hard-knocks and it’s the best education he ever received – as he tests and learns through the journey.

How did you get into the Property Industry? “I guess my educational background had a big role in this but sometimes building networks, synchronicity, being at the right place at the right time and being decisive helps. I’ve always been interested in topics which affect city life such as: urban renewal, informal settlements upgrading and the right to the city. For me city life symbolizes a new beginning, hope and wishes of a better life - For a man to depart rural life and migrate to the city - because there he knows he has a chance of a better life - So for me the city is an overflowing cauldron of endless possibilities and property is slam-bang in the middle of it all!! Because people will always need a place stay”.

Please share about NRG, when did you join them and your experience as part of their team: “I started at NRG on the 17th of May 2021 - It’s been a rock ‘n roll from the moment I started. I’m a Residential Intern Estate Agent. I’m currently busy with my logbook as I’m exempt from doing the NQF’s because of my prior studies. We are situated in Richmond Hill 42 Mackay Street - we have a residential, commercial and rental department. When you are ready to welcome everything good in life the path will sort of open up but that doesn’t mean it will be easy. Our principal is James Conyers and through the wonderful workings of the universe our paths crossed. He constantly encourages doing things differently, leveraging the best out of technology and breaking barriers.

Also with the assistance of Black dots full stack developer Michael Masara - we are going fully digital by creating a one stop shop for anyone interested in property - whether they want to know more about the buying process or tips to better their home. All of this information will be live on the aforementioned social media handles on those platforms - We are at the forefront of the digital revolution in South African Social Media Real Estate Marketing”.

Youth & Properties? "Young people have to know about these processes because there will come a point in their lives in which they will have to buy a property. Being armed with the right knowledge will give you the confidence to make the best decisions for yourself and family. Educating ourselves also allows us to dream and to aspire to better our lives - because when we learn the goal is to implement eventually. Also before getting married young people should consult a lawyer and have a conversation about how they’d like to be married - whether in community or out of community - this will affect your ability to buy property in the long - especially if one party is a bad payer", he giggled with empathy.

So please share about Central – your focus area in your industry: "Central represents so much possibilities with its rich history and unclear future - but its turning a good curve. It’s a melting pot of different ethnicities and cultures. I think it represents where the world is going - Robert Kennedy once said “only earth bound men still cling to the dark and poisoning superstition that his world ends at the nearest hill, his universe is bounded by those who share his town, his views and the color of his skin” And I think because it is so cosmopolitan this will be a saving grace for central - because people are remaking the space to suite their needs and they bringing their knowledge. It’s a fusion of old - with the architecture and old style building and with people from all over the world offering a different perspective".

"Central has so much to offer from art galleries, beautiful architecture, restaurants and people - if you’d like to see central get in touch with me via email". [hello@sibstherealtor.co.za]

Lastly, what do you do during your spare time? “I love to do nothing, he laughed. On a serious note I train a lot, so I go to the gym and I run. I also listen to music, I read books as often as I can because leaders are readers! And I do puzzles now and again”.
