The founder of Snezar Timepieces is Sinekhaya Manciya, who is originally from Eastern Cape, Lusikisiki, bread and buttered in Johannesburg, Daveyton, and currently residing in Johannesburg. Sine has a Bachelor of Social Work- which he did in the University of Cape Town and a certificate in New Venture Creation and Entrepreneurship development from Ubuntu Business School.

“I started operating as a business in 2016. I had a drive to create something unique, something entirely my own. So, I decided to take action. SNEZAR was formed at the back of being of inspired by a similar product that we liked but felt it was missing something. We then decided to tap into the bamboo watch space by improving the aesthetic and quality features of the product”.

“We offer unisex, minimalistic and well-designed bamboo strap watches made from authentic environmentally friendly materials. Our products are for those who love and value high aesthete timeless pieces, it’s an Afro-contemporary product that speaks to the heart of Africans as we are looking into introducing this product to the largely underserved African population through creating a brand essence that resonates and represents the new Afropolitan”.

"The most challenging thing in my business when I started was lack of funding as I started the business with my own pocket money which couldn’t take me further than I wanted for the

business. As a result, I didn’t do much on marketing and have a strong market access".

"I had to believe in myself and my brand, work hard for what I believe in. Thus, my watches were sold out within six months of launching and this meant I needed to make more watches designs. As of this year 2020 I have about 6 designs of watches since the inception of the business. This year I also added 11 designs of wooden sunglasses".

Customers can purchase a timepiece and pay over three months interest free instalment with PAYJUSTNOW which is a payment method on our website. This method allows customers to have their timepiece delivered to them on the first payment of their instalment".
