Port Elizabeth born Music business Guru Sakhele Mzalazala hits big time by being the first head of Market Business Development in Africa at CD Baby international . CD baby is one of the leading distribution company in the world now, spreading to Africa to give artists a closer look and feel with exciting features to help the artists monetize their music.

Mr Mzalazala is not a stranger to music business and has worked close with many artists, coordinated events, and held workshops about music rights at the Music Imbizo in KZN and in many others cities around the country. Also he has managed to work with big names like Lisa Good, award winner Zonke Dikana, the legendary Sizwe Zako, international soul singer Erika Badu and the late Sifiso Ncwane.

His list of achievements includes a book on music rights, being a panelist in different conferences and workshops sharing stages with the likes of Nasty C, late Mama Sibongile Khumalo, Dj Speedsta, Mo flava and many more.

This opportunity to hold this office came at a time where we as South Africans saw the closing of one of the oldest music shops. The news of Musica closing had people shocked and others saying it was only a matter of time. Sakhele has a big job of ushering Africa into the digital space and also educate and share valuable knowledge that has been missing in the music industry mostly for under developed communities.
