Luno Dotsoul is a versatile musical genius from the city of Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape at Walmer Township. Currently he has spread his footprint musically not only the country's entertainment hub Johannesburg, but also to other African countries too. His fellow musicians know him not only for his unique vibrant sound, but also for his humility, which has connected him to great doors in his music journey thus far.

Luno spoke to us about his sound, the moves made during lockdown and his new music visuals, "my enterprise is focused on new age music with a mixture of Hip-hop, Soul, as well as Afro dance music. Last year alone I collaborated with Emtee records on a song called Bangene with flash iKumkani. I made acquaintance with Emtee himself and discussed a possible business opportunity that can yet not be mentioned as it is still under-construction. This year I was booked for a gig in the Netherlands but due to the pandemic it has been put on hold until a time comes when Covid is abolished. In light of the fact that I was under pressure juggling my music career with university, I managed to utilise my studio time effectively and as a result released a song on the 4th of July 2020 titled “Utywala”. The hit-single visuals were shot last year December in Namibia, the song is about mixed emotions after having a good time at a party or a club. The hook keeps listeners coming back as it has a catchy rhythm and flows. The song is available on all online stores including iTunes and Spotify".

The industry is not an easy space on it's own, but seeing independent artists building their brands during these difficult times really proves the resilience, and the dream that cannot easily be abandoned because of circumstances, as a team we wish Luno all the best in becoming one of the greatest to represent Eastern Cape in massive platforms.
