Sun Boardwalk 20th birthday at Boardwalk Port Elizabeth

A splendid night it was, at the Sun International Boardwalk 20th birthday in Port Elizabeth on the 02nd of October in one of the stunning bars inside the Casino - Sun Cafe. It was one of those cosy events with limited guest list due to Covid-19 rules and regulations in a cold rainy night with a number of local media houses and the Sun International Boardwalk ambassadors Unathi Nkayi from Idols SA and Sonia Booth who's also an author, content creator and radio host.
Camera was on roll from the get go as the guests stepped in, the place and set up was great looking and ready to create new memories, complimentary drinks to keep the guests hands full, food was simple yet divine with slices from the giant birthday cake as dessert. The Boardwalk staff was amazing as usual, with their welcoming warm smiles and amongst them was the Chairperson of Boardwalk Bongi Siwisa Emfuleni Resorts who is also a board member of Emfuleni Resorts, also the Boardwalk Marketing Manager Nqobile Qupe and GM - The Boardwalk: Mike van Vuuren who made sure the guests were well taken care of, and the Casino was on business as usual or we should say on business as the new normal. It was definitely a beautiful moment to experience the hospitality industry running again, it may not be running with it's full capacity yet but definitely the hotel and casino life is shaping up well in this new normal.
During the night the Chairperson led a toast to the 20th birthday which coincidentally happened to be in 2020, together with the boss they held the knife to literally cut the cake for celebrations with great music to end it all and a bit of Jerusalema dance as it is the uniting anthem currently. The night seemed like the beginning of a new chapter to end 2020, and as bitter as the year was but ending it in style and fun is definitely what the staff and clients of Sun International would appreciate.
