Born and bred in Butterworth in the Eastern Cape. Sinethemba is a serial entrepreneur that is very focused and inspiring to those who know him in person and through his social media engagements. He owns a farm called SD Farmlink which is situated in Flagstaff, and is also one of the finalists of Mr SA 2021. Educationally, he does not only have a diploma in Sales and Marketing, but also has more than 8 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing, and that plays a huge role in his journey as a young and growing entrepreneur. As a platform that recognizes and celebrate those who are trying in our country, we could not turn a blind eye to the amazing work this gent is pulling, with hope that his journey will inspire others.
When did you commence with SD FARMLINK and what inspired you to go for it? “The idea and passion for farming was there years before I could even implement it, but early 2020 I decided to use what I had to commence and never stopped. Of what I had at first it was land, the skill, a lot of clientele, including passion, those were enough for me to get the dream off the ground, and I never thought much of where the farm is situated nor my background, but I knew what I want and could not wait for anyone to come and save me but myself. What inspired me was knowing my story and the potential I have to make things happen, so when I decided to start I knew already what’s there and how to go for it, and yes this was just about making a living, but I ended up falling in love with farming”.
Challenges you faced when you were trying to get SD FARMLINK off the ground and what was your attitude or reaction towards those challenges? “One of them was to get FUNDING, so I can be able to fully operate with the necessary equipment, that can lead me to create jobs. But that did not stop me, because with the background I had from my grandfather who was a farming specialist I managed to start with basic methods that can keep things going while attracting clients and investors”.

What are SD FARMLINK services and what are you trying to achieve with SD FARMLINK? “The actual farm which about 15 hectare is producing vegetables including spinach, green pepper, potatoes and cabbage. We have also introduced stokvels, the stokvels makes use of a crowdfunding method where we assist aspiring farmers in opening their small projects and we mentor them throughout the journey. The aim is to empower and influence other young people with achieving their dreams”.
Briefly share your MR SA journey, how is so far and what can people do to assist you take the number 1 spot? “It has been a great a experience, though I do modeling as pat time. I was happy to see myself on the top 30, and at the same time the pageant indirectly assisted me to market my businesses. People should follow MR SA updates on how far I am, and in ways on how to support the gents to win”.
Lastly, briefly introduce us to your new initiative MICASA PROPERTY LIFESTYLE, it’s services, and how the public can be part of it? “Micasa Property lifestyle It’s a stokvel initiative that gives people an opportunity to own and co-own properties. The services includes: Interior and exterior design, Develop property for sale and rentals, Home renovations and property stokvels. For more information the public can connect to us on sales@micasapropertylifestyle.co.za”
