Can you tell us who you are and about yourself?
My name is Aphelele Flatela from the Eastern Cape. A South African born and bred model. I studied Public management at PE college, now I am currently studying film and television production operation at The Media Workshop.
When did you start taking interested in modeling?
I started taking interest in modeling ever since I can remember, at first I only knew about pageant, I didn't know that the modeling industry is big.
Do you have any role models in the fashion and modeling industry?
I grew up watching modeling shows by Tyra Banks and Iman, so they have always inspired me. So that's when I have realized there's a lot more in modeling than what I thought.
What is your favorite modeling style.
Fashion modeling (Photoshoot and runaway).
If you can be afforded an opportunity to travel the country wish 3 cities would you like to visit? Definitely the City of Tshwane in Pretoria, Cape Town, Tzaneen in Limpopo.

What other things are your interests besides modeling?
I am very interested in acting, and filmmaking I also love poetry and dancing.
Do you have a 5 year plan or you take every year as it comes?
Well I do have a plan, but, I have decided to be open minded and grab every opportunity that comes my way while am on the journey of my 5 year plan. Who knows, maybe I might get an opportunity that might make that 5 year plan to be 3 years.
In the year 2020 what lessons are you coming out with?
The lesson that I am coming out with from 2020 is that, Identity is power. Once you know your true self, understand your purpose, you won't be conquered. I have suffered with self doubt for a very long time, trying to get validation from other people, wanting them to understand and believe in me more than I did myself, and when I didn't get that from people, I believed that maybe I am not talented after all. But then I realized that if you know what you are about, and the power that you have within you, you can achieve anything, because are the common denominator. But if you let/allow external factors define who you are, you won't be living your true purpose.
