Amobia Communications has been appointed as the fibre network and connectivity service provider for Bella Mare, a brand new lifestyle development located in the heart of the city’s prime beachfront, consisting of 420 apartments. Bella Mare is Port Elizabeth’s largest upmarket residential development and is an FNB featured development.

The female-led Team from Amobia Communications who have their head office based in Port Elizabeth have been working closely with the Developers of this Estate. The expertise for this project will be bolstered by members of the team based nationally, including two of their Management Team, namely: Geraldo Reitz, Projects Manager, based in Cape Town, responsible for overseeing fibre development in many of the larger Estates, in that Province that the company manage and service; and Pieter de Wet, Product Manager, based in Gauteng - thus offering all round value through their expertise for the benefit of the eventual Home Owners.

The female led team headed by Managing Director – Nicola Smith, and supported by Financial Manager – Cassandra Lascelles, Sales and Marketing Manager – Toinette Koumpan, HR Manager – Krystle de Bruyn and Operations Manager – Ruchda Parnell is a fitting tribute to Women’s Month!

Amobia, which specialises in home and business internet connectivity as well as estate fibre connectivity has been in operation for 17 years now, and has its Head Office right here in the city, with branches nationwide and experience in managing several Estates in the Western Cape, to date.

Nicola Smith MD says: “We have secured and managed large estates in the Western Cape, however co-ordinating this on our home turf of Port Elizabeth gives us the opportunity to showcase the flexibility and expertise we have developed in the ICT sector over many years and we are incredibly proud of our Team for securing this contract, especially during August, where we pay tribute to women, in all sectors of our society.”

Eddie Raff from Bella Mare commented that “Bella Mare has so many unique, high-tech and cutting edge attributes so partnering with Amobia was an obvious choice in providing residents with superior connectivity"

The Coronavirus pandemic has seen a rise in the need of home owners to work, entertain and educate children from home, and the e-commerce sector is flourishing. Amobia Communications have used this opportunity to grow market share during this time by providing reliable and affordable services. In addition there is a 24/7 manned call centre at the Head Office, that can assist with any customer queries.

Completion of the first units of the development is scheduled for the end of 2020 with occupation set to take place in November of this year.
