UBOMI FOUNDATION SA MEETS NELSON MANDELA UNIVERSITY.
Ubomi Foundation SA is pleased to acknowledge a successful and productive meeting with the Nelson Mandela University Faculty of Education, led by the Dean. The Ubomi Foundation SA delegation was led by its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Siyanda Vazi.
The engagement focused on exploring opportunities for a meaningful and sustainable partnership aimed at strengthening education and expanding developmental opportunities for learners, particularly those attending township and underserved schools across Nelson Mandela Bay.
Key areas of discussion included:
Educational awareness programmes addressing challenges such as bullying, teenage pregnancy and learning difficulties;
The establishment and revitalisation of computer centres;
The development of school and community libraries;
The revival of science centres; and
The introduction of robotics and modern technology programmes in schools.
The engagement reflects a shared commitment to bringing the university closer to communities and creating practical opportunities that can equip young people with the knowledge, confidence, skills and exposure they need to prepare for the future.
Through partnerships of this nature, Ubomi Foundation SA seeks to help bridge gaps in access to educational resources while creating stronger connections between schools, communities and institutions of higher learning.
