Ubomi Foundation developmental programmes in urban and rural communities.

Ubomi Foundation is a well-established, multi-discipline non-profit organisation which cares for the fast growing national population of South Africa. The foundation is based in Eastern Cape, Nelson Mandela Bay. Ubomi foundation have projects and programmes with public and private sector partnership in education, skills and social development.
Recently the organisation has started the Adopt-A-School initiative in the Nelson Mandela Bay. The initiative is to give support to the schools infrastructure to communities and most important child well-being. The foundation partners and work with public and private sector to achieve the initiative through private partnership in infrastructure e.g. building material companies and work with community through Social Development Department and the Department of Education for the child welfare.
They also have Ubomi Foundation Development Hub, which is an initiative that is creating a platform for one to learn, information and training. In entrepreneurship/agriculture/health, skills development and education. The foundation partners and work with public and private sector to give support to the students and unemployed graduates. Supported by public sector, National Youth Development Agency and Small Business Department.
Lastly, they have Ubomi Foundation Social Development, the foundation supports and work with other organisations locally based to be able to reach out to the community. Through local organisations involved in the fight against Drug and Substance Abuse and Gender Based Violence Abuse. Ubomi foundation work together for the betterment of the communities.
Throughout the country the research shows that school shoes are bought everyday. Now, Ubomi foundation is to be one of the black organisations to make affordable school shoes for urban rural communities and our shoes will be called UBOMI.
