The Konvenient Magazine and Intercape enter a Strategic Content partnership.

The Konvenient Magazine, a publication primarily focusing on recognising and celebrating SMEs in the Eastern Cape and nationwide, has entered a partnership with Intercape, a national brand that transports millions of travellers from different parts of the country to different destinations. This partnership is aimed at engaging travellers with content they can connect with and be inspired by throughout their journeys.
The partnership will provide an opportunity for The Konvenient Magazine’s monthly digital editions to reach a wider travelling audience, exposing readers to stories about South African entrepreneurs, destinations, lifestyle, technology, finance and community initiatives.
Founder and Senior Editor of The Konvenient Magazine, Xola Speelman, says the partnership represents an important step in growing relevant strategic partnerships for the publication while ensuring that the stories it features reach the public.
“While people are travelling, we will always make sure we expose them to good-quality content, helping to keep their journey enjoyable and informative. Our stories are about real people, businesses, destinations and initiatives making a difference, and we are excited about creating another platform where those stories can reach people,” says Speelman.
The partnership also creates a valuable opportunity for SMEs featured by The Konvenient Magazine to gain greater exposure. Through its interactive digital publication, readers can engage directly with stories and access hyperlinks to businesses, destinations, organisations and other relevant platforms.

Beyond entrepreneurship, the partnership will showcase tourism destinations, lifestyle experiences and community work featured throughout the magazine’s monthly editions, allowing travellers to discover more of what South Africa has to offer while on the move.
“This collaboration matters because our coaches carry the very travellers who keep South Africa’s economy moving, and among them are the customers, suppliers and future partners of the SMEs this platform celebrates. SMEs deserve a spotlight because they are the backbone of local economies, especially in the towns and regions along our routes. By giving these businesses visibility to a captive, engaged travelling audience, we’re not just adding content to the journey – we’re helping connect South Africans to opportunities and stories that matter to them. Keep an eye out for the QR code at our office television advertising platform and be sure to scan and download a copy of the magazine before you depart,” says Shaun Smeda, Chief Commercial Officer at Intercape.
For Intercape, the partnership provides an opportunity to enhance the passenger experience by making relevant local content accessible to travellers while supporting the visibility of South African businesses, destinations and community initiatives.
The collaboration marks another step in The Konvenient Magazine’s growth as it continues to build strategic relationships that extend its storytelling beyond its traditional digital audience and into spaces where South Africans live, work and travel.
Our monthly editions will be available FREE, exclusively to Intercape travellers. The QR code and WhatsApp access will go live on Intercape TV screens from 1 October 2026.
