The Friendly City comedy crew brings “7 in 10” laughs to the Bay.

Get ready for a laughter-packed weekend as the Friendly City Comedy Crew presents its 7 in 10 Comedy Show. Seven comedians will take to the stage over two consecutive nights, each with ten minutes to deliver endless laughs.


Catch the shows on 31 October and 1 November at The Athenaeum in Central, starting at 7:30 p.m. both nights. Each evening features a fresh host and a new lineup of seven comedians, a mix of familiar favorites, rising stars, and surprise acts.


Local entertainer Thuba Myeki kicks off the fun on Friday night. He’s fabulous, he’s funny and wow, can he sing! Flying in from Johannesburg, award-winning comedian Robby Collins will headline the Saturday night show. With decades of national and international experience, he’s sure to have the audience in stitches.

Founded by Chantal Harris and Nolwazi Nkwandla, the Friendly City Comedy Crew in Nelson Mandela Bay started as a platform to create stage time for local comedians. Today, it has grown into a vibrant hub for performers chasing their comedy dreams. Among those taking the stage are Ngcaphephe Suka, Jermaine Mattroos, Zaheer Gaida, Ntsika Qha, and Speech Man G.
