More than skincare, Anani Wellness is about creating moments that belong to you.

Wellness will always be an important part of our daily living, and I think we should always appreciate everyone creating solutions around wellness. I mean, we run around every day, chasing everything to better our current situation, but the important thing is to always keep our wellness as the foundation so we can continue showing up strong, ready and healthy in our everyday hustle. Whether that wellness is about our inner self or our skin, wellness is key, champ.
And perhaps that is where the story of Anani Wellness begins. Founded by Zonke Jordan, a woman born in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape and the youngest of four girls, Anani Wellness is built around an idea that feels increasingly important in a world where slowing down has almost become a luxury - taking intentional time to care for yourself.
For Zonke, the journey towards creating the brand was not born from one dramatic moment. It was shaped by years of experiences, self-discovery and, eventually, motherhood.
“Becoming a mother has been one of the greatest parts of that journey,” she says. Raising her daughter has made her more conscious of the woman she wants to become and the example she wants to set.
That perspective also influences how she understands beauty. “To me, beauty is so much more than the products we apply to our skin,” Zonke explains. “It is also reflected in how we carry ourselves, the values we live by, the beliefs we hold and the way we move through the world.”
That philosophy is at the heart of Anani Wellness, which describes itself as holistic skincare designed to restore, balance and nourish. But spend some time listening to Zonke talk about the brand and it becomes clear that Anani is not simply about selling another collection of skincare products. She wants the products to create a moment.
The brand currently offers four products designed to work together as a self-care ritual: the Renewal Body Polish, Grounding Bath Soak, Restoration Body Balm and Aura Body Oil. Each product has its own purpose, but together they encourage the customer to slow down and intentionally reconnect with themselves.
More than skincare, Anani Wellness is about creating moments that belong to you.

“When you’re soaking in our bath soak salts, it’s not just about what the product is doing to your skin,” Zonke says. “You suddenly have this quiet moment where you can pause and reflect.”
That idea of creating a pause feels particularly relevant for women who are constantly giving their energy to work, family, children, relationships, businesses and everyone around them.
Zonke believes women often become so accustomed to giving that they forget they also need to receive - particularly from themselves. “Anani Wellness is about reminding you that you are also someone worth showing up for.”
It is a powerful message, especially in an industry where skincare can sometimes be reduced to appearance and quick transformation. Zonke wants Anani to challenge that expectation.
She believes one of the biggest misconceptions around skincare is the demand for immediate results. In a world obsessed with speed, consumers are often encouraged to expect instant transformation.
But she sees wellness differently. “For me, great results come from consistency, effort and intention,” she says.
That belief also reflects Zonke's own experience as an entrepreneur. The idea for Anani Wellness first came to her in 2024, but she admits she was not immediately ready to act on it. Over time, however, a personal and spiritual journey changed how she viewed herself and her purpose.
By 2026, she felt an internal push to stop thinking about the idea and start doing something with it. “I truly felt like I was being pushed to show up for this idea and to take it seriously,” she says.
That shift transformed Anani from an idea into something tangible. Yet building the business has required Zonke to become comfortable with another part of entrepreneurship that nobody can completely prepare you for - waiting.
As a young founder, she currently wears almost every hat imaginable - founder, content creator, creative director, product development participant, label printer, packer and even the person managing the warehouse.
“If I don't show up, nothing happens,” she says. The experience has taught her patience and discipline, particularly because effort does not always produce immediate results.
“I've had to learn that sometimes you can do everything you're supposed to do, put in the work, be consistent and still have to wait.”
That honesty makes Zonke's story relatable. Entrepreneurship is often presented through the finished product, the beautiful branding and the success stories. Less often do we hear about the waiting, doubt, impatience and uncertainty behind building something from scratch.
For Zonke, however, those experiences are becoming part of the journey. And she is thinking well beyond the products currently sitting on the shelf.
Years from now, she wants Anani Wellness to be recognised as something bigger than a skincare company. She envisions a wellness community, particularly for women, where self-care becomes a complete experience.
That could eventually include candles, loungewear and other products, but her bigger ambition is to create intimate wellness experiences where women can gather, talk about their lives, celebrate their wins, discuss their challenges and simply be present with one another.
“I want people to remember Anani Wellness as a brand that encourages you to slow down, reconnect with Self and understand that you are worthy of care.”
And perhaps that is the most beautiful thing about the journey so far. Anani Wellness is not asking people to stop chasing their dreams. It is simply reminding them that while they are busy building the life they want, they should not forget the person who must live it.
