After a listening session hosted by Bambo Talent Agency at Richmond Hill, Gqeberha, I was sure Fatimaah SA deserves a platform to share her musical journey. She came across as a calm yet confident artist, someone whose presence doesn’t demand attention but naturally draws it. Her music, like her demeanour, carries depth and balance, emotion meets precision. Watching her perform, it became clear that she’s ready to take her craft to the world, and platforms like ours exist exactly for voices like hers - raw, refined, and rising.
We reached out to her management team at Bambo Talent Agency for an exclusive sit-down, and the conversation that unfolded revealed a young woman with passion far beyond her years.
“My name is Fatima Ditebogo Mapoyisa and I was born in Senegal but raised in Kokstad,” she begins warmly. “I’m currently based in Port Elizabeth for educational purposes.”
Her voice carries the kind of composure that comes from knowing who she is and where she’s headed. Music, she explains, was never just a hobby, it was a calling that found her early.
“I’ve always adored music from a very young age. My love for music started in joining school choirs to being in the studio creating my own songs.”
From humble beginnings to self-expression through melody, Fatimaah’s evolution as an artist has been fuelled by both global influences and local drive. Her sound is layered - emotional like Ella Mai, intricate like Ariana Grande, and soulful like Chris Brown.

“These artists helped me shape my music and vocals. I got to learn a combination of riffs and vocal control techniques from their music. They’ve helped me master vocal styles, vocal control, sound, and versatility. I got to learn the true form and art of music through them.”
Every artist needs the right support structure, and for Fatimaah SA, Bambo Talent Agency became that game changer.
“Bambo Talent Agency has been the biggest game changer in my life,” she says with evident gratitude. “Through this agency, I’ve gained a stronger and more supportive fan base and more opportunities to explore the music industry.”
She speaks highly of management - not as a luxury, but as a necessity for any serious artist.
“Being a managed artist is important because you get the maximum guidance you need. You’re able to produce quality music because you have a team ready to assist when challenges come your way. It helps me stay focused on writing and recording, while they handle the business side.”
Her recent singles, “Favorite Sin” and “Darkness,” mark a new chapter in her career. Both were written by Fatimaah herself, produced by Lil Mh, and released under the watchful eye of her management team.
“Honestly, the songs are doing far better than I expected since these were my first single releases,” she smiles. “The public gave a very positive response - some loved how they could relate to the lyrics, and others appreciated the creativity and melodies.”
Beyond the charts, Fatimaah’s goal is deeper, to use music as a universal connector.
“The main aim is to let people know that even though we’re diverse, there’s a significant language we all understand - music. I want people to embrace the feelings and emotions that come through it and to heal those with broken hearts through the language of music.”
Like any artist in evolution, Fatimaah is learning the industry’s rhythm - its highs, surprises, and occasional dissonance.
“Being an artist isn’t always easy. You must expect twists. Sometimes people will obsess over a song, and other times they might not connect but you keep going.”
And she is indeed going, with purpose and promise.
“My fans can expect new releases soon. They’ll get to experience my versatility, ambition, and love for music. There’ll be great-quality music and visuals that will leave you amazed.”
She’s also stretching her creativity across genres.
“I’ve explored other styles beyond R&B and Amapiano, there’s more coming, and I’m confident I’ll master them too.”
From Senegal to Kokstad, and now Gqeberha, Fatimaah SA is steadily building her sound, one that resonates with emotion, truth, and ambition. Her story reminds us that behind every rising voice is a journey, of discovery, discipline, and dreams.
And if the early signs are anything to go by, Fatimaah SA is not just here to make music, she’s here to make moments.
