Entrepreneurs and Business Expo set to ignite township economy in Gqeberha.

Gqeberha, Eastern Cape - Entrepreneurs, business leaders, government stakeholders and community members will gather this Saturday 28th of March 2026, for the highly anticipated Entrepreneurs and Business Enterprise Expo, an initiative designed to empower local entrepreneurs and strengthen the township economy.


Hosted by The Manifest International Foundation, the Expo will take place at the ETC Conference Centre in Struandale (opposite Kenako Mall) and will officially begin at 10:00 AM. The event forms part of the Foundation’s broader vision to create sustainable economic opportunities while supporting the growth of small businesses within local communities.


The Entrepreneurs and Business Enterprise Expo aims to provide a platform where aspiring entrepreneurs, small businesses and industry stakeholders can connect, learn and explore new opportunities for growth. Key objectives of the event include promoting entrepreneurship and small business development, providing access to information on funding and skills development, showcasing local businesses and services, and encouraging collaboration between the public and private sectors.

The programme will feature an inspiring lineup of speakers from both the public and private sectors who will share practical insights into entrepreneurship, business development and access to opportunities. Speakers expected to contribute include Anele Mni, Olwam Mnqwazi, Luvuyo Ngxiki, Sixolise Ntiso and Tom Sondlo, alongside representatives from the EDTA Business Unit, the Department of Social Development, and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA).


With more than 350 attendees expected, the Expo will bring together a diverse range of exhibitors, including SMMEs, corporates and government institutions. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with industry experts, discover new business opportunities and gain valuable insights into navigating today’s economic landscape.


In keeping with the Foundation’s commitment to community upliftment and inclusivity, the event will be free of charge, ensuring that aspiring entrepreneurs and community members can access valuable information and networks that support economic participation.
