Every thriving economy has one thing in common: entrepreneurs who are willing to solve problems, create opportunities and build businesses that outlive them. While governments create policy and corporations drive investment, it is entrepreneurs who often become the heartbeat of local economies, creating jobs, stimulating innovation and transforming communities.
Behind every successful business is a network of people who opened a door, shared knowledge, introduced a client, offered mentorship or simply believed in an idea before anyone else did. In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, collaboration has become one of the greatest drivers of success. However, meaningful spaces where entrepreneurs can genuinely connect, learn and grow together remain limited.
For women entrepreneurs, those opportunities are even more significant. Despite making remarkable strides across industries, many continue to navigate barriers to funding, market access, strategic networks and visibility. Yet they continue to build businesses with resilience, create employment, lead innovation and inspire future generations. It is within this landscape that OoSomashishini: The Business Circle has emerged as one of Gqeberha's most exciting entrepreneurship platforms.
Curated by Billio Breeze, OoSomashishini is more than a networking event. It is a social impact platform created to foster entrepreneurship, encourage knowledge exchange and strengthen community-driven economic development. By bringing together entrepreneurs, executives, creatives, investors, corporate representatives, professionals and government stakeholders, the platform creates meaningful spaces where conversations become collaborations, ideas become opportunities and relationships become lasting partnerships.
At a time when entrepreneurs are seeking more than transactional networking, OoSomashishini has positioned itself as a platform where business relationships are built with intention, collaboration drives innovation and every connection has the potential to unlock new opportunities.
Billio Breeze Champions Entrepreneurship Development Through OoSomashishini: The Business Circle.

Following two successful editions hosted earlier this year at the beautiful The Vine PE Harbour, Billio Breeze will return on 4 September 2026 for the Women's Month Edition of OoSomashishini: The Business Circle. Hosted under the theme "Women in Business: Leading with Purpose, Creating Impact," this special edition will celebrate women whose leadership continues to shape industries, strengthen communities and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Rather than simply celebrating business success, the event will explore the realities behind entrepreneurship, the courage to start, the resilience to overcome setbacks, the lessons learned through failure and the leadership required to build businesses that create lasting impact.
For Billio Breeze Managing Director, Manelisi Billy, entrepreneurship is ultimately about creating ecosystems where people can grow together. He believes platforms like OoSomashishini are essential in unlocking long-term social and economic impact.
"Billio Breeze was founded to create platforms that go beyond entertainment. Our focus is on building ecosystems where entrepreneurs, creatives and communities can connect meaningfully, collaborate effectively and unlock opportunities that lead to sustainable social and economic impact."
That philosophy has transformed OoSomashishini into one of Billio Breeze's flagship social impact initiatives. Through the platform, the company continues to strengthen entrepreneurship, increase visibility for local businesses, create market access and encourage innovation through purposeful engagement.
Each edition combines structured networking, thought-provoking panel discussions, entrepreneurial storytelling, curated lifestyle experiences, premium business exhibitions and creative showcases that encourage meaningful engagement long after the event concludes.
Whether attendees are launching a new business, growing an established enterprise or expanding their professional network, the platform provides direct access to potential clients, strategic partners, industry experts, investors and decision-makers. Every conversation has the potential to become a partnership, every introduction an opportunity and every connection the beginning of something greater.
Simply put, OoSomashishini is becoming the room where opportunity meets preparation.
At the heart of this Women's Month edition are conversations designed to inspire action. Serving as the Entrepreneur Host is renowned entrepreneur Pinky Bala, Founder of Pinky Bala Events and Co-Founder and CEO of Bala Plus Creatives, who will lead an afternoon of meaningful conversations centred on leadership, resilience and purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
Joining her is an accomplished panel of women whose entrepreneurial journeys continue to influence industries across South Africa.
The panel features Nosi Ncoyo, Founder of Vision4 Group and Vision4Women; Varonique Philander, Founder of Chaya Legal Consulting and Legal Ascend; Neziswa Moko, Founder of Isingqi Sengingqi and media personality; as well as Sisanda Mbodlela, Founder and Director of SM Solutions.
Together, they will share practical insights into leadership, business growth, legal compliance, resilience and building businesses that create sustainable impact within their communities.
Returning to the platform is entrepreneur Lucia Mtshake Ntshona, Founder of Lumn Projects and Founding Director of Khazima Projects, whose continued support and contribution have been instrumental in the growth of OoSomashishini. Having played a key role in the platform's journey, she once again returns as the event's MC and facilitator, guiding conversations that encourage authentic dialogue, meaningful engagement and collaboration.
The Women's Month edition builds on the momentum of two successful OoSomashishini gatherings hosted earlier this year at The Vine PE Harbour, where entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives and corporate leaders came together to exchange ideas, forge partnerships and celebrate entrepreneurship.
Over the past two editions, the platform has welcomed an inspiring line-up of entrepreneurs and thought leaders, including Luvuyo Ngxiki, Sesethu Gqomo, Olwam Mnqwazi, Lerato Fekisi, Sinoxolo Manengela and Tebogo France, while accomplished facilitator Amandla Didiza guided conversations that challenged perspectives and encouraged meaningful dialogue. Their willingness to share authentic business experiences has played a significant role in establishing OoSomashishini as a trusted platform for entrepreneurial learning, collaboration and innovation.
Recognising that entrepreneurship extends beyond traditional business sectors, OoSomashishini continues to celebrate the creative economy through curated fashion showcases and business exhibitions. This Women's Month edition will once again feature women fashion designers showcasing their collections, alongside carefully curated business stalls where entrepreneurs will present their products and services to a diverse audience of professionals, corporate representatives and potential collaborators.
Previous editions featured collections from Ndimbi Clothing & Manufacturing, Queen M Style Africa, Christopher Tom, Mnombo Apparel and Quuer Apparel, providing local designers with a premium platform to showcase their creativity before entrepreneurs, media and industry leaders.
Complementing the fashion showcases, curated exhibition spaces have enabled brands including BYD, Vodacom, Brudwini Hair Growth Oil, Rise Beyond Despair and other emerging businesses to engage directly with attendees, creating valuable opportunities for visibility, collaboration and market access.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Billio Breeze has also created opportunities for local artists such as Sesona Bonke and Michael Matebe to showcase their talent, reinforcing the organisation's belief that business, culture and creativity can thrive together.
The continued success of OoSomashishini has been made possible through meaningful partnerships with organisations that share Billio Breeze's vision for entrepreneurship and community development. Previous editions received invaluable support from The Vine, Bluewater Bay Sunrise Hotel, Isango Gate Boutique Hotel, Inyosi Wildlife Reserve, Vodacom and Red Bull, whose contributions helped create an experience that blended business, creativity and hospitality.
The platform has established strategic partnerships with The Vine, IDYAN, Fest Flow and Yellow Lizard Creative, strengthening its ability to deliver premium entrepreneurship experiences. Billio Breeze has also collaborated successfully with the Mandela University African Hub and the Student Employability and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED) Unit, creating meaningful opportunities that support entrepreneurship, innovation and business development.
Building on the success of previous editions, Billio Breeze expects to welcome its largest gathering to date for this Women's Month edition, bringing together a dynamic community of entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, executives and industry leaders. This milestone reflects the growing demand for purpose-driven entrepreneurship platforms within the Eastern Cape, as the organisation also prepares to expand OoSomashishini to Johannesburg in October 2026.
As OoSomashishini continues to grow, Billio Breeze is inviting businesses, corporate organisations, government institutions and development agencies to become strategic partners and sponsors. Through sponsorships, exhibitions and strategic collaborations, partners have the opportunity to invest in a platform that actively contributes to entrepreneurship development, youth empowerment and inclusive economic growth while engaging directly with one of South Africa's growing entrepreneurial communities.
Because every successful business begins with an idea, but every thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem begins with a community. Through OoSomashishini: The Business Circle, Billio Breeze is building that community where entrepreneurs connect with purpose, collaborations drive growth and opportunities create lasting impact.
