Aweeh song review, Lordkez magic.

There’s something about a long Saturday bath with no plans afterwards. For some, that might sound boring. For me? It’s pure bliss, especially with Aweeh playing in the background. The house quiet, socials slow (one of those Mampara weekends), and the buzz of iWeekend eNkulu on the horizon, September 27 is coming.
Currently, Aweeh is one of those tracks you stumble across everywhere. Whether you’re on your way to the kitchen or the bedroom, it follows you, sliding through doors like it owns the space. On social media it’s the same story, celebrity reels, Insta stories, TikTok dances, kukhala Aweeh. Even random gents and the finest huns are all chanting the line of the moment, “Dala what you must.”
Not sure about you but this song keeps climbing in my playlist, demanding repeat after repeat. It’s got a time-travel vibe, like we are in Soweto it's 1967, Mitchell’s Plain in 1992, or it's a Friday fashion show in Gqeberha’s Daku Hall in 1998. All I'm tryna say is Aweeh moves through decades, making me feel both old-school and brand-new, streetwise yet romantic. Lordkez managed what few can do, transport us forward and backward through music.
On the other side - we all know the good negativity around Cassper Nyovest, and everyone’s got an opinion. But on this track? Let’s agree, Mufasa ain’t no antelope at all. He slides in slick and blazing, dropping simple but razor-sharp lines that add serious flavour to the masterpiece Lordkez cooked up.
Also, shout out to the producer/s - man, they really cooked. Lordkez glides through so easy and natural, proving just how strong her pen game is. The whole song is perfectly packaged, her vocals are silky-smooth, like Aweeh ma se kind, pure fire. Nothing about it feels forced.
Crazily, the track is pure English with just one Mzansi slang gem, “Dala what you must.” And that single phrase seals the magic. Mzansi, we’ve got a hit. If this song doesn’t bag an award, I swear I’ll carve a wooden trophy myself.
Welcome to our playlists, Lordkez. We’re ready to explore your entire catalogue, past, present, and future.
