Veldskoen and Plakkie are putting a stop to the manic discounting by using the attention (and ad spend) normally lavished on Black Friday, as a force for good.
Instead of offering products to customers at discount prices, local shoe company VELDSKOEN, has decided to simply give them away. For what VELDSKOEN calls ‘Giving Friday’, they’ll effectively give you 100% off the price of a pair of VELDSKOEN Heritage shoes. There’s just one catch - you have to give that pair to someone else.
For the initiative, VELDSKOEN has put aside R100 000 worth of shoes from their Heritage range. South Africans who wish to partake need to visit the VELDSKOEN website and submit their details, as well as the details of the person they’d like to give a pair of shoes to. Winners will be selected randomly and notified after Black Friday that someone has treated them to a pair of brand-new VELDSKOEN.
